AmpOff

There are times that we need to turn off our computer in a specified time. Say if you are a video editor rendering a video project overnight and so it must be good to have a utility that can turn it off after the rendering is done. This way you can save on electric bill. Or if you are downloading a large file this utility can be of great help to power off the computer when the download is finished specially when you are not around to monitor it. Yes this can be done through the Power Options in Windows but it does not provide the flexibility that we need for a certain task like when you want to turn-off your computer automatically when the CPU is idle.

AmpOff is the answer for this. It has the features to make your unmonitored computing worry free, like;

It can shut down the computer at certain hour (e.g. at 12:00).
It can shut down the computer in several minutes (e.g. in 15 minutes).
It can shut down the computer when the CPU becomes idle.
It provides you with several types of shut down (shut down, restart, log off, power off, suspend, hibernate and lock computer).
The installer is only about 452 Kb and so it is not a resource hog.

And a lot more. Again it is free and so you have the best offer for a functional software utility. To download this utility directly just click this, AmOff Direct Download.

Audacity is a free, open source software for recording and editing sounds which is available in Linux, Mac OS X, and other operating systems. It has most if not all the function of the commercial audio editing software out there. Quick Note

Often you do not need an advanced text processor but a virtual scrapbook to quickly write down an occasional thought, a plan for the day or an Internet URL. With a plain text editor, which can be used for this purpose, you have to run the program first, then create a new file, then type a line or two and save the file. Too many things to do in order to simply write down a thought? With Quicknote, it does not matter which programs you are currently using; whenever you want to write something down that comes to mind, just 'wake up' Quicknote by touching a small line on the top of your screen with the mouse or by pressing shortcut keys. In its resizable window you can jot down your notes and organize them in categories or even sketch small drawings.
Still, this tiny tool has more possibilities than it seems on the first thought! Beneath the normal text functions, it can convert units, let you directly access frequently run programs, encrypt secret texts, change the system volume by hotkeys, manage windows tasks, and even send notes through a network. It has also a powerful reminding tool, which can remind you of your notes at certain times, run programs or shutdown automatically your PC. The program is absolutely free, so download this handy tool today and concentrate on content rather than form.

Quicknote runs with Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/2003/Vista and is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Swedish and Polish. ...www.quicknote.de

This application is of great use for bloggers. Say, in a spur of moment an idea comes to your mind, the first thing you will do is to open the note pad or your word processor but it will take a lot of steps. And by the time your word processor is opened your precious "money making" idea is now slowly disintegrating. With this software, once installed, all you have to do is hover your mouse on the top left corner of your screen where the small line is located and a small notepad will come out.

Open Office

Good alternatives are just lurking around the corner waiting to be discovered. Open Office is free alternative to the pricey Microsoft Office. There's no difference whatsoever except for some tools and menu placement which is manageable enough and can easily be mastered in the first try. Open office can do things what MS office can. I have been using it for couple of years now and I have not found anything that can make it less worthy. It can open and save MS files and it can also save in its native format.

The three elements of MS Office is present also as it has word processing, spreadsheet and presentation capabilities. Likewise, you can open, edit and save MS Powerpoint and Excel files. And why are you still stuck with what you are using try Open Office now. The same functionality without the bloated price. Open Office is available for Linux, Mac, FreeBSD and Solaris systems.

Rainlendar

Rainlendar is a feature rich calendar application that is easy to use and doesn't take much space on your desktop. The application is platform independent so you can run it both on Windows and on Linux. The appearance can be customized with skins and you can even mix different skins together.

I have used this utility for a couple of years now and it has never failed me. It is easily accessible and intuitive enough for your daily organizing need. The Light version is free. The Pro version has added functionality for network shared calendars and Outlook support which is not much of use for most of us.

Excellent Web Hosting Service For Free

I seldom make a recommendation for a particular service unless it satisfy me down to my bone. While looking for an alternative web hosting service provider I have stumbled upon Bravenet that offers a free hosting service. The free account provides a 50 Megabytes disk space which I guess adequate enough for an entry level website, a generous 1.5 GB of traffic and the best of all they have provided a FTP account. The FTP is a great addition for this free service since I can upload and maintain my site with greater control. Here's my working website: http://www.neerodvideo.bravehost.com/
My site consisted of flash video and some flash animation since I am into wedding video production business and the website must have some cool visual content to lure customers. I think this kind of web hosting service is good for blogs too. I will try it soon.

Try it now and you will never regret it because the best things in life are free. Kindy click the button below to register, just choose the free web hosting service:

Adsense

Adsense is good and I have already heard a lot of good stories from top earners. Yes, you can earn some income through it as I did but mine is not yet that substantial. I only have my blog for a couple of months but I guess there must be ways to increase earnings.

Adsense has the potential to provide you with an unprecedented income but you must work it out. And I'm still working for ways how.

To sign up for adsense click on the adsense on the sidebar:

Yet Another...

There are a lot of things offered in the net for free including the opportunity to earn. There are free web hosting, free web templates, free software, free chatbox and some free income earning mechanisms like the affiliates, referrals, bloggings and advertising like adsense. Everybody is jumping to the bandwagon because of the smell of money and yet because it is easily accessible and free if you know the ways.

But since there are many of them offered and we could no longer differentiate the best from the crappy ones and so it is just about time to have a rating and reviews of these internet freebies including the make-money-generate income sites from a newbies point of view.

Everything free on the internet and so this is the Blog.
