Filezilla; The Godzilla of FTP clients

There are a lot of FTP clients available in the internet today including the commercial ones. I have tried some of them but Filezilla beats them hands down. Yes, for me it is the best FTP client that I have used so far and yes it is free.

Open Source Video Editing Software

Jahshaka is the world's first open source, hardware accelerated editing and effects system. I have not tried most of its function but based on its design and purpose I think you can do a lot of multimedia creations with it. The learning curve is high though but there are tutorials available and a community with members who are more than willing to share their expertise.

Audacity

Listen and you will find. There are great audio editing softwares out there but what makes this one greater is because its free. Audacity is a free, open source software for recording and editing sounds which is available in Linux, Mac OS X, and other operating systems. It has most if not all the function of the commercial audio editing software out there.
